Welcome to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½
ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ is the oldest diocese in England, stretching from Maidstone to Thanet, the Isle of Sheppey to the Romney Marsh. We have 350 miles of coastline with historic ports and seaside resorts, alongside rural communities, market towns and commuter-belt urban developments. Affluent areas often sit alongside pockets of major deprivation, offering an exciting and challenging mission context.
At the heart of all we do is a vision of transformation for ourselves and our communities: no one can encounter God and remain unchanged. In the Diocese of Canterbury, we want to increasingly become a Christian community transformed through encounter with Christ, growing and overflowing to transform and bless the families, homes and communities we serve: Changed Lives, Changing Lives.

Our Clergy Step Up for the London Marathon

Generous Giving Week
Today's Prayer
Each day we pray for members of our diocese. Below you can find details of who we are praying for today, which we invite you to use in your own prayers.
Lord, we give thanks today for the churches in our Diocese who are consciously seeking to preserve and steward your wonderful creation. Gift them with enthusiasm and creativity, and may they share their passion for ecology with the wider community; gently reminding all they come into contact with that each of us has a responsibility to care for and nurture your amazing creation. This we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
