The Archbishop of Canterbury’s six-day pilgrimage walk from St Paul’s Cathedral finished on Sunday 22 March with a warm welcome at Canterbury Cathedral.
It is the first time in modern history that an Archbishop of Canterbury has undertaken a pilgrimage of this nature in the lead-up to their Installation.
Sarah Mullally becomes Archbishop of Canterbury at Confirmation of Election
The service will take place at Canterbury Cathedral on Wednesday 25 March 2026, the Feast of the Annunciation.
On Friday 3 October, the Diocese of Canterbury marked an historic moment as Bishop Sarah Mullally, the Bishop of London, was confirmed as having accepted the invitation to become the next Archbishop of Canterbury.
